Before opening the hood to see if there is anything wrong with the AC compressor, start the Ram and turn the AC off and back on a few times. Do it somewhere quiet. Something else is the problem. Or, it may be turned by an independent belt. Inspect the belt to see if it is cracked or shiny. It could even be missing entirely without you noticing if it is an independent belt. The clutch is not getting a signal to turn on. This indicates some form of wiring problem. The AC compressor is getting a command to turn on but is no longer able to, which would indicate that it needs replacing.

Suddenly the cold air stops, and instead begins expelling that same feared heat into the cabin. Each part requires the system to be properly sealed; otherwise, the components, such as a compressor or condenser, are subject to fail. Although replacing a damaged fuse will correct the current issues, you should be aware that something caused the fuse to blow and there may be a larger problem in the system's wiring. If the fuse blows again soon after being replaced, check the wires that routes to it. The refrigerant is forced through the system by the compressor, then through the condenser, drier, expansion valve, and the evaporator. The system uses approximately psi of pressure to push the air through the lines and drops down to roughly 35 psi after making a full cycle.
