We have a Kia Sorento on three different occasions the Kia has burned all of oil between oil changes once around 30, changes the oil went back after driving it was fine at the next oil change it was still fine. At our last oil change at 69, it was low again changed it went back to recheck and it was two quart low. The cat also shut off at the red light but started back up with no problem. No warning lights have ever came on. Called Kia they are going to change the oil again and have us drive it miles and recheck if low again they will send info to extended warranty department to see if they will pay for the repairs.

Called KIA number and they wouldn't even discuss the extended warranty with me, they just gave me the number to the lawsuit kiaenginesettlement. There is no way there would be oil left in the vehicle at 7, miles. I guess we'll see if a recall comes out of it or some other sort of restitution. Or somehow this engine is vaporizing an excessive amount of oil into the lower end that was ending up via the old PVC system hitting the intake. Or if there is a class action lawsuit? Try to call your local KIA Dealer. Original motor seized up without warning a couple years ago just shy of 60k. Currently in process of doing oil consumption tests.
