This design is the first of its kind and is built for the mod-driven 4Runner owner in all of us. What makes our shift knobs special is a number of things but most importantly, our toolless cap design removal system. Our TrailMade shift knobs feature a patent pending toolless cap removal using a magnet countersunk and machine-pressed into a lathed billet core with a beveled floor. Our patent covers any interchangeable cap design without the use of tools, among other elements. The design allows you to easily swap out the design on your shift knob by pressing down on the corner of the cap with your thumb toolless.

This high quality product is CNC machined right here in Utah using one-piece billet aluminum, bead blasted, hard anodized black, then teflon coated for extra durability. These one of a kind shift knobs and transfer case knobs set your interior apart with a tactical look and premium feel. Patterned Wall indents and hexagonal slope angles at the tip create a large, low slip grip surface. Install is easy and only takes a few minutes, the video below has step by step instructions. Simply take off your old shift knob, thread on our included jam nut halfway down the threads of the chrome shift lever that your original shift knob was on, then screw your new shift knob on. Adjust jam nut accordingly until the shift knob is centered. Main shifter was easy to install but the transfer case knob took a little more effort to get the nylon lock nut on. Other than that great product. I love the look of this shift Knob. However, if you screw it all the way down, it will scrape the console when you move the shifter and leave some unattractive scrape marks there. If you dont screw it all the way down, it twists in your hand. You must screw on a couple METRIC nuts to the appropriate height onto the shift lever first, then tighten them together, then screw on the knob.
