My dad had a 66 Chevy when I was a kid. I'm thinking about getting a and making it into an occasional DD for him. The problem I know very little about them and I don't know how to weld I understand the mechanics of things motors suspension etc. But I don't weld.

Naturally you can't run it that far down and still drive it because you will get into some serious camber issues with the stock control arms. They aren't as popular as the ''72, but most of the mechanicals are the same. I can say that both are stiff at stock hieght when hitting bumps, but lower them, and they will ride smooth. I thought I remember reading about some differences between the bumpers and years on the board somewhere. I know Jeeps, but when it comes to Chevys and Fords I am not the guy you want to talk to.
