There will be a number of road closures in place on the A55 this week that are set to cause disruptions across North Wales. These A55 closures come as a result of carriageway maintenance, improvement works and general roadworks set to be carried out during the week. The closures are set to take place in various locations up and down the A55 including near Penmaenmawr and Kinmel Bay. A55, eastbound - Junction 12 : The onslip to the A55 at junction 12 Tal-y-Bont will be closed eastbound from Monday February 19 to Friday March 1 due to carriageway maintenance. A55, westbound - Junction 15 to 16 : The A55 will be closed westbound between junction 15 Llanfairfechan and 16 Puffin Roundabout from Saturday February 24 until next Monday March 4 due to roadworks. The closure has been in place since 7pm Saturday and will remain in place until 7am on Monday March 4. Still no full 20mph enforcement in Wales as 'engagement first' policy rolled out.
