Aeon tile

I can aeon tile the device on and off from the Commands buttons on the device menu, but I cannot get the tile to show state of device. And, aeon tile, I am only able to turn off the device from the dashboard tile which continues to show "sending"aeon tile, but not back on. It seems that there must be some trick to get the dashboard tile to match the actual state of the device, but I don't find any hint in the documentation or Community. Does state match the device actual status on the Device settings page and change quickly?
