Real Monsters is an American animated television series and the fifth Nicktoon. It is also the second animated series developed by Klasky Csupo for Nickelodeon after Rugrats , running for four seasons from October 29, to December 6, The series revolved around Ickis , Oblina , and Krumm , a trio of students in the Monster Academy, a college for monsters training to scare humans. Most of the episodes were about avoiding getting in trouble with their teacher, the Gromble. The tapes each contained three regular-length episodes or in the case of the latter tape, one half-hour episode and one regular-length episode. These two tapes were re-released after the license moved to Paramount Home Video , with two extra episodes added on each of them.
