Boarding was a very smooth and civilised process, with business class and star alliance gold called first. My first impressions of the cabin, upon boarding, were great. The slightly grey colour will probably age better than a pure white and gives the feeling of a cool, snowy, Canadian landscape. While it is true that this seat has only one window, the missing window is the one behind the seat, meaning visibility out was normal, air canada b789, but it was darker than other seats for sleeping and viewing especially important with the way the windows tint. This seat is designated by Air Canada as a Preferred seat. Service was amazing. Breakfast arrived shortly after my second coffee. Don't expect to sleep much. I do wish they wouldnt put the hard separator between the seats but it was a good seat and worth the extra money. After my previous flight, I made a promise to myself to never fly on an AC again. Service, entertainment and food were also alright. Seat 46 E is a standard Economy Class seat in the last row of the aircraft whose proximity to lavatories and galley may be bothersome. Comfortable seat. Overall the seats are OK for economy and premium, but if you can't go when you gotta go, it ruins entirelly the experience of a 10 hours flight. Plenty of storage, especially since an entire overhead bin is available for each passenger. The seat itself was very comfortable, but it didn't recline too far so it wasn't perfect. Premium Economy was excellent. Seat may feel confining, especially when passenger in front reclines. Seat 12 H is a standard Premium Economy Class Bulkhead seat whose proximity to the lavatories and galleys may be bothersome.

Extra legroom that you pay for is negated by this constantly being used as a walkway between aisles. A very sharp and large IFE screen, which is fixed in place, meaning that you can watch entertainment from gate to gate. This seat is partially obstructed by the Exit door frame that protrudes into the cabin about 6 inches from the bulkhead. This, dear Air Canada, is maybe a configuration for domestic flights for your cheap product Rouge but nothing for international long haul flights. This is apparently a common occurrence with AC Air Canada : B Business Class seat storage. Seats 5A and 5K in J Class only have one window. Travelled London to Calgary in seat A8 and in seat A6 on return, both were comfortable and the service was excellent. From a cross-continent viewpoint, it is a great seat. The entertainment system was high tech but easy to use with a good size screen and a touch screen remote with good noise cancelling headphones. I do wish they wouldnt put the hard separator between the seats but it was a good seat and worth the extra money. Its prefered seat however it is not that great for very tall people. As well, no curtain between Premium and regular economy, and I had expected a curtain,so if you are paying expecting some exclusivity and seclusion, you won't find it.
