No vaccines are percent safe or effective, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. However, research has repeatedly shown that the COVID vaccines are overwhelmingly safe and substantially effective, preventing many people from contracting the coronavirus and reducing the severity of illness and the chances of death when breakthrough infections do occur.
