This study elaborated how Eksi Sozluk users form the sacred on the basis of debates which were triggered by the discourses of government officials and reflected to the public. Eksi Sozluk is the digital public sphere of the term. This digital space provided a miscellaneous field of analyzing data on debates with its multitude mass and diversity. The study presented analysis of the sacred which is stated that it has been secularized since Durkheim through identity and individual rights rather than homeland-nation-religion as distinct from sacred-profane studies having done so far. Discourse analysis method was used in the thesis. In consequence of analysis, it was seen that universal values like human rights and freedom of conscience and thought are sacralized by Eksi Sozluk users in daily life. This sacralization can be interpreted in the manner of advocatings which Eksi Sozluk users had strongly and believingly.
