One minute we see Chris Kyle flirting with Taya and then flash cut to their wedding. Unfortunately, this sometimes meant cutting out scenes which, though not entirely essential to the plot, really helped explain some of the things that we do end up seeing in the film. It seems like almost no one could really make sense of what happened here. This is likely just an example of a detail that had to be cut out to save time. The script calls for Kyle to draw attention to his red elbows 3 different times before his encounter in the scene above. We first were supposed to see him rubbing his elbows during a class at sniper school, presumably as they first begin to develop after he has begun his intensive training with the sniper rifle. If you were going to cut any scene out of this movie, I think a bachelor party scene would have to be pretty high up on the list.
