Analog stick psp problem

Boards PlayStation Portable Arghhh frustrated - Can't seem to fix my analog stick for the life of me. GamblerOfFate 11 years ago 1. I've recalibrated a hundred times and nothing. I bought a replacemente analog stick and nothing. I took off the silicone thing cleaned it, along with the contacts and nothing. I unscrewed the analog stick a little bit and nothing. The only thing I'm missing is changing the silicone contact, and yet I fear that even that won't fix it. Its a PSP, any suggestions I'll try freaking anything. What happened to it?

If the power adapter was not completely plugged into the wall or console, the battery won't be charged. Try charging the device again to make sure. Devices become bricked when the operating system is corrupted, which can be caused by turning off the console while upgrading the operating system or improperly installing third-party software. If your PSP no longer starts up, and you're certain your battery and and power adapter are functional, then it may be bricked. Fixing a bricked PSP console without returning the console to Sony will require a new motherboard. Posted: Oct 19, Since putting it back together the menu's work ok with the directional pad but when I load a game the character just runs to the right all the time in Dexter. Tried with another game that boots to the menu and it keeps scrolling downwards in the menus could be due to it going right? I've tried removing the analog stick, but the character still goes right in game. Also tried cleaning the connections on the d pad and the analog connection and still is the same. Also I have to press down hard of the dpad for it to work just the down arrow.
