Played by Holly Taylor, Angelina Meyer started her arc as a troubled young Flight passenger whose family situation made her somewhat of a sympathetic figure. But by the end of the season 3 finale, it was clear that Angelina was in fact a massive threat to the Lifeboat. Murdering Grace at the end of season 3 unsurprisingly positioned Angelina to serve as the next antagonist for Ben, Michaela, Jared, and the other main characters to deal with in the series. As it turned out, though, this was hardly the extent of her role. She was a thorn in the side of the passengers for months, with no one managing to take her off the board. She increased her body count in Manifest season 4 part 2 by orchestrating the deaths of both Captain Daly and Fiona. It took until the series finale, but Angelina finally faced comeuppance for her actions when she failed to pass judgment. An often-criticized element of Manifest season 4 part 1 was the heavy amount of plot armor provided to Angelina. The passengers themselves echoed these complaints when it was discovered that Angelina was still around. Michaela reacted to this reveal by comparing her to a cockroach in reference to how hard it is to apparently kill her. Of course she survived.

Cal believed wholeheartedly in Manifest season 3 that the Flight passengers needed Angelina, presumable to beat the Death Date and save the Lifeboat. How she was meant to help became all the more confusing when she turned into a murderer in the season 3 finale. Angelina hardly felt like a character that the passengers were meant to depend on, with her story in Manifest season 4, part 1 drastically reducing her redemption chances. When Cal expressed his unwillingness to reach out to Angelina, Ben brought up his earlier comments about their connection to clarify what he really meant. That makes sense, considering that both characters possessed an Omega Sapphire. It would seem that this is what tied them together from the beginning; as the Dragon with an Omega Sapphire, Cal really was the only one who could stop Angelina from getting what she wanted. What happened in Manifest season 4, part 2 goes to show that Cal was only partially right about Angelina in season 3. So convinced that Angelina was meant to be a part of their fight, Cal did everything he could to keep her close, even telling her where they keep the key to the house. As it turns out, Angelina really was integral to their journey, just not in the way Cal had envisioned.
