Such a gloomy and wet afternoon here in England. I finally had time to drink some tea and update this blog. And back for good this time. I miss writing here.

Lab Muffin Beauty Science. On one hand, you can follow a trail of lovely scent through your shopping centre to the store. On the other hand, walking in is like being clobbered over the head with a bucket of stenchy random perfumes. Everything smells lovely, but overly scented products tend to irritate skin. And some of their products just sound weird — solid toothpaste?

It provides a gentle scrub without any harsh, artificial ingredients. When I switch to using Ultrabland twice a day in the colder months I still like to keep a pot of this in my skincare stash for brightening up my skin and buffing away dead skin. Angels on Bare Skin ingredients: ground almonds, glycerine, kaolin, water, lavender oil, rose absolute, chamomile blue oil, tagetes oil, benzoin resinoid, lavender flowers, limonene, linalool. As you can see from the first picture of the product above, its texture is a little unusual in that you take part of it and make it into a paste yourself with water. I take a pinch of the cleanser and add a drop of water and rub it together to make a paste. I like it to be quite thick rather than watery so you can always add more water to get your desired texture. I remove the cleanser with warm water and a flannel. My skin always feels soft and smooth after using this cleanser. I have very sensitive skin and I find this a really gentle, but effective cleanse. There is just one con for me though, this cleanser is messy! I only ever buy the smaller pot of this cleanser. Now onto the good stuff. For people whose skin is easily irritated, this is another wonderfully gentle product from Lush that works wonders. Both cleansers are super gentle but highly effective which is what makes me love them so much.

I talked to a guy dressed as a banana and poured blue scented water between two jugs with a lovely SA with fruit piled on her head. As long as I close the angels on bare skin right after opening and depositing a blob on the hands, though, I find that my hands stay lemony-smelling, not all flaxseedy-smelling. Smells amazingggg.

I had been looking for a new cleanser for a while before I bought Angels on Bare Skin. I like to have a good understanding of the product and read reviews before I purchase products, especially cleansers. So with that in mind, I went into Lush knowing that I would soon be approached by a member of staff. I explained how gentle I needed to be with my skin and this was recommended — after looking it up beforehand I felt I was ready to try it, and I am so glad I did! The application of Angels On Bare Skin is very easy — simply add a pea-sized amount in your palm and add a little water to form a small paste. It is suggested that the paste it still fairly thick when you apply it but that is of course entirely up to you. Once you have covered your face, rub it in gently in circular motions for a little exfoliation and then wash it away.

The solution? One of the pricier face and body cleansers at Lush is Angels on Bare Skin. Even if I was willing to spend that amount of money for a daily cleanser, Angels on Bare Skin is one of the few Lush products that I hate the smell of. I love lavender and rose in general, but something else in the mix throws off the smell for me. While they both worked relatively well, I found that if I modified the recipes slightly and changed around the ingredients to suit my own preferences, I created something new that I like even better! First, mix the clay and almond flour. Next, add in the glycerin and then the rose water and mix. The result should be a squishy ball that is easily mushed and molded like play dough.

Also over recent years it was discovered that a lot of scrubs contained plastic microbeads which are extremely harmful for the environment. I have to do it twice as my hair gets a bit greasy, but it last for ages and smells lovely! Effects It exfoliates well.
