There's hardly a smidgen of chemistry between Rourke and Angie Everhart, what little erotic fun there is arrives too late, and the fully clothed dramatics are almost painfully uninteresting.

It doesn't get any happier from there. A few scenes later he looks out his window and sees a once beautiful horse being turned into a dead one.

Watch it over and over to get the most out of it! The story didn't work and was just plain unnecessary, at least I didn't buy it.

Ten years after Elizabeth the character portrayed by Kim Basinger in the first film [3] left him, John has descended into a world of depression and loneliness, and is suicidal. When he receives an invitation to attend an art exhibit in Paris that will feature some of Elizabeth's paintings, he immediately boards a plane for France, hoping to get to talk to her. He arrives at the auction house and promptly wins all of her artwork, but Elizabeth is not there. He does, however, see a beautiful woman Angie Everhart wearing exactly the same shawl that he gave to Elizabeth many years earlier.

Roarke looks terrible, Angie Everhart's character went nowhere. Stylish people are, I suppose, quite often merely coldly efficient. This sequel is bleak, dark, and tragic. User reviews 31 Review. However, Kim Bassinger Elizabeth in the first film wouldn't appear in this film, so you know he won't get his lady love. The film tells story Apologies there is no story in the movie , of John who comes to Paris in search of his ex lover. More like this. The entire movie is shot in a corny blue lighting scheme, and most of the sets are also blue. The plot was good but wasted due to bad execution. There aren't enough words to describe what a disappointment this movie was. Mickey Rouke takes center stage in this one. See it over again, it just gets better, much better, it is a classic, pure and simple. The majority of the overbearing minute running time features the two stars just going into various clubs and getting in trouble. For what has been lost here, is big. The scenes between John and Lea said just what they needed to say. Sign In. This darkly romantic film made sense as it showcased John's inability to love again. Anyway, a decent spark of real interest might have kickstarted this flimsy plot.
