Arlo not recording to local storage

Arlo can do local storage with an Arlo hub. You put a USB stick in the back and the app can browse those or the cloud. Only certain hubs.

I know this has been covered before on this forum a number of times. But I have read through most of these posts for two days to try and work this problem out. Initial free subscription has expired. There is also plenty of space on the USB. When the system mode is set to 'Armed' I get notifications, but no recording.

It looks like "Master" was not understanding " Aspirant", but I understand as I have the same problem. Master kept saying this was a cloud issue and that Aspirant's recordings were going to their cloud, but they were not. The issue is the same where I bought the Arlo Pro's a long time ago and been working fine recording to local storage with a hard drive connected to the USB on the base station. My Arlo Pro batteries were getting old, so I bought the new Arlo Essentials and set them up to record the same as the Arlo Pro's local storage and everything was working fine, but now my Arlo Essentials won't record to the local storage but they are triggering events. There is something about the Arlo Essentials that won't let you record to local storage after a certain time period - a month? I think mine was about a month or two. I have tried removing them and then adding them again, but not working. Is there a new solution for this problem?

I already experienced this issue once but I could solve it by deleting and reinstalling the app and by restarting my phone. This time however, I was unsuccessful with those steps. Also rebooting my base station did not fix the problem. The cameras are working fine and all the settings seem to be alright but the local videos are just not shown in the library and two days ago everything was shown normally in the Arlo app. I did not change any setting. The change happened from one day to another without any reason.

Message 30 of I still receive notifications on my phone of a recording but they never show up in feeds. Welp, looks like everything is going up for sale on ebay. I have followed all of the prompts, subscription is up to date, cameras are functional and will record manually, but they will not record. It may be that a reset and starting fresh would fix this. My comments are for their USB feature in general. The videos do record properly on the micro SD but are still not viewable through the app. Thanks for the additional info. I triggered some myself that did not show up in the library. Personally I think Arlo should add an option to do that. Have been pulling my hair out trying to figure it out for a few hours. Message 6 of Sure enough it worked! Also, some Arlo bases only support local recording, and do not support playback.
