An even number means you will only find armor fossils, while an odd number will mean you'll only get Skull Fossils, not both. Also, the odds of finding other fossils and those items that extend certain moves, that are found in the Underground can be affected by the last digit of a Trainer's ID. LokkerG Expert - 14 years ago - report. If you have an odd ID number, then the stuff you can get in the Underground follows the same pattern as the Diamond version.

It is the counterpart of the Skull Fossil. If brought to the one of the following locations, the Armor Fossil can be regenerated into a Shieldon. However, Skull Fossil can't be affected by any Special Conditions , can't retreat, and the player may choose to discard it at any time during their turn. It can evolve into Shieldon that evolve from an Armor Fossil. It allows players to look at the bottom seven cards of their deck, reveal a Shieldon they find there, and put it onto their Bench. The other six cards are then shuffled back into the deck.
While most wild Pokemon in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl can be found in tall grass or in caves, a couple of prehistoric monsters can only be obtained a special way: reviving them from fossils. These, however, only appear in the Grand Underground, and they can be a bit tricky to get your hands on, so here's a rundown on how to get fossils and where to revive them. Unlike other Pokemon games, which typically let you choose between the two fossils at a certain point in the story, the one you receive in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is determined by which version you're playing. The fossils themselves are also a bit trickier to find than in other Pokemon games. Rather than simply receiving one from a certain character, you'll need to excavate the fossils yourself from the Grand Underground -- a sprawling network of tunnels beneath Sinnoh's surface. Once you've received the Explorer Kit from the Underground Man in Eterna City, you can use it to travel to the Grand Underground at will, where you can dig up fossils and other treasures. After you've obtained the National Dex, you'll also be able to find other Pokemon fossils, such as the Old Amber, within the Grand Underground. Fossils are among the different treasures you can find while mining walls in the Grand Underground, so your best chance to get them is to be persistent and mine often.

Pokemon come in all shapes and sizes, but perhaps one of the weirdest is the prehistoric, when the Pokemon universe tasks a ten-year-old child with reviving a species via fossils. It's a tradition since the first generation of Pokemon games, and it proudly continues in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon where you find four fossils in each game which leads to four potential version-exclusive Pokemon. Unlike past Pokemon games you're not forced to make an agonizing choice between a few different fossils - instead, you can get all four that are available in your game but will have to trade with the other game to see the remaining four.
