Bennetts insurance review
Absolutely awful customer service. Just cannot get through to make a policy change. No email contact or online chat. Truly dreadful. Read the other negative reviews too. They all get the same bland response and if you look at the positive reviews they look like they are being padded out. Just not good enough. Good reviews seem to come from new customers while existing customers needing support are left hanging. Big mistake. The hours I wasted trying to get through made my policy massively expensive. Have been a customer of Bennetts for many years now, I just want to update them about me changing my bike. Ringing the only number which clicks onto automated voice with press options, so I wait, and wait, then it announces I am 21 in the queue with an estimated wait time of 51 minutes! So I hang up.

We ensure that you have the best cover for your requirements and that you are fully protected by an established and Defaqto 5-star insurer. Whether you have a scooter or moped - instead of or as well as a motorbike - you can insure it with us either on an individual policy or alongside your other bikes. As a young rider , the biggest benefit of a moped is the freedom it offers you. They may be limited to 28mph, but even at this pace you can get to places without relying on lifts from your parents. Also, mopeds are remarkably frugal, easily doing 80mpg while remaining incredibly reliable — and you can even get race bike replicas. Environmentally speaking, a lot of the new electric vehicles are classed as mopeds due to their small motor size and even the petrol versions are good news for Mother Nature as they generally have lower emissions than cars. All that's required to get on a moped up to 50cc is a provisional licence and successful completion of a one-day training course called CBT - Compulsory Basic Training.

While this is the most in-depth and honest review of all of the best motorcycle security out there — on any budget — using any lock, even a cheap one, will significantly reduce the chances of your bike being stolen. Despite what social media would have you believe, while any crime is a problem, the main thing you should be doing is enjoying your motorcycle or scooter. Our data shows that using a disc lock reduces the chance of a thief stealing your bike by a factor of three, while a quality chain and lock will make it less likely to be stolen than a car. As with any crime, be aware of it, take some simple steps in the same was you lock your house when you go out , then stop worrying. A steering lock is very easy to defeat — thieves just need to kick the bars and it breaks. A typical technique — especially in a busy city — is to snap the steering lock then push the motorcycle or scooter away, often with another stolen scooter. Three locks on the front wheel alone might be considered excessive by some, but this rider is determined to keep hold of his bike.

I contacted them asking why is this but they won't discuss by email. All they are is crooks. So I contacted them again and explained I had cancelled the auto-renewal, and they said no, the auto-renewal had successfully occurred! I said why do you ask things like that? This then allows each individual who want to cancel the policy to default on the payment and ask Bennetts to take them to court which they never will. Hmmmm will I be renewing on May 31st? I am writing to you to inform you of my very recent negative experience with Bennett's Motorcycle insurance, which must be verging on the extremities of the law and will hopefully make people think twice before insuring with them.
