Trattoria Nonna Tetti is one of our favourite restaurants in Lecce. The dishes are traditional and the flavours are strong. It is simple Apulian food at its best.

I thought I had tasted best restaurants in lecce gelato in Monopoli, but Baldo was unbelievably amazing. Lecce is for sure in our top 5 favourite places in Puglia. We were also regulars for lunch at Come Vuoi Pane on the main square where they make excellent sandwiches to order.

It has a small menu of very high quality products to enjoy as an aperitivo. I pick up at least one crostata per week from there. I also love going to Mani in Pasta , a panetteria Italian bakery that makes typical dishes from Salento such as polpette al sugo tomato meatballs and pizza di patate potato pizza. You can eat really good, fresh fish there. If you want a taste of the Ionian sea, which is part of the Mediterranean Sea, go to Le Macare in Alezio: the chef there uses the most exclusive ingredients. Again, super fresh and delicious fish to be found here.
