Service was excellent.

Service was excellent. Champagne was fresh. Food was delicious. Almost ate there again the following night and kind of wish I had!! Wonderful bistro to dine at with excellent food and service.

I have had my eye on this place for a little while now, I had heard good things and its close proximity to several key spots in Paris including the Eiffel Tower made it a promising place. However Bistro Saint-Dominique did not quite live up to my expectations. The atmosphere of the bistro was rather perfect given our exhausted state and I was seated in a throne crossed in some sort of experiment with a dining chair affair. An additional bonus, the staff were charming and in a city that unfortunately has the reputation to the contrary, it seems that this must be an area where I heap praises. The wine was good, but the soup I must admit was a tad on the salty side. It was fine, but not as deliciously indulgent as I like it, and have had previously in Paris. My sentiments were shared with my friend and we hoped that this would not be reflected in our main courses, which they sadly were. On the steak front the same sentiment was carried forward, technically fine but nothing special. If I was in the area, I would certainly pop in for an aperitif, and enjoy the atmosphere, but I doubt I would order food there again, especially as there is much nicer food to be found without straying much further away. Sit outside and watch the people of Paris go about their evening. Excellent food, friendly staff, and the best chocolate cake I've ever had. A lovely quiet place in the centre of Paris near the Eiffeltower. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We definitely recommend this place! Nice place with very good service, the waiters are willing to assist you in English. The food was very food with many French dishes available. Definitely recommended. Lovely setting near a square 10 minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower. Great food, staff were friendly despite the language barrier.

Forget the overpriced tourist traps that serve up disappointing, frozen food, my list has all the trendy spots that will show you real Parisian bistros. In no particular order. The cooking here is excellent, refined yet not pretentious. Unfortunately, like many traditional bistros, there are limited vegetarian and vegan options. Recognised across social media as one of the best modern French bistros in Paris, the Bistro Paul Bert has become an institution in recent years. The owner, Bertrand Auboyneau is a really nice guy and incredibly passionate about hospitality, food and wine. A thick, tender, well seasoned, piece of beef fillet fillet mignon slavered in an amazing rich, creamy sauce. Other mains include roast pigeon, sole menueire and cote de cochon XXL pork chop.
