Bizzy Banks is part of the emerging Brooklyn Drill music genre. His first mixtape was released by Atlantic Records. In , he released a few singles, including Bandemic and City Hot. While growing up, he watched his older brother freestyle at home. Watching him, rap gave Banks early foundations for his successful career. It also challenged him to master his own skills. After all, brotherly competition goes a long way. His mother listened to a lot of Reggae.

Bizzy Banks found inspiration for his rap career right at home. The Trinidadian-American rapper watched his older brother freestyle around the house, which lit the fire within for Bizzy to master his own skills in hip-hop. The year-old Brooklyn native committed to rap in Bizzy decided to put out music more often, as opposed to sporadically releasing SoundCloud freestyles like he once did. Consistency was key. In July of that year, Bizzy dropped the piano-driven, ominous track "Don't Start," a banger with that familiar Brooklyn drill sound. Only here, the rhymer is more focused on his lyrics and flows than some of his peers.
