Bleach zaraki kenpachi shikai
Those other guys had names that others called them, but I didn't.
Without a home, a family, or even a name, the boy that would be known as Kenpachi Zaraki was a soul living alone in the worst, most lawless region of Rukongai. After coming across the dead body of a Soul Reaper, Kenpachi stole his Zanpakuto and imprinted on it, making it his own. During this time, Kenpachi became incredibly proficient in swordsmanship, killing pretty much everyone he fought with ease. One day, Kenpachi encountered Yachiru Unohana, a member of the Gotei 13, the Soul Reapers who ran Rukongai, and challenged her to a battle. Fighting Unohana was the first time Kenpachi ever felt fear, and he subconsciously sealed his power to continue the battle because of the fun he was having, though he ended up losing. Sometime after, Kenpachi met a young girl without a home or name, just like him, and he gave her the name Yachiru in honor of the one person who gave him a challenge.

Warning: Spoilers for Bleach: The Thousand-Year Blood War episode 20 Bleach 's long-awaited reveal of Kenpachi Zaraki's Shikai release has finally occurred, and the power he puts on display with only this first release is enough to make some Bankai look pathetic. While battling against the overpowered Sternritter known as Gremmy Thoumeaux, whose abilities are limited only by his imagination, the villain summoned a massive asteroid down, threatening to destroy the entire Seireitei along with friend and foe alike. That threat was all that Zaraki needed to justify pulling out his Shikai, the first stage release of a Zanpakuto, for the first time, an ability he only recently unlocked after his battle to the death with Retsu Unohana. Zaraki's incredible spiritual pressure combined with the Shikai release brought him a level of power he's never seen before, allowing him to destroy the meteor with a single strike. In its Shikai state, Zaraki's Zanpakuto, Nozarashi, looks less like a sword and more like an enormous axe of some sort, a weapon more fitting for the powerful hacking and slashing style that Zaraki fights with. Aside from obliterating the meteor, Nozarashi proved its power by cutting through the very fabric of space to escape yet another attack from Gremmy, one which sealed Zaraki into an area of vacuum. Not only is this being achieved at the Shikai level rather than the full-release Bankai, but Zaraki continues to wear his spiritual power-suppressing eyepatch throughout the fight, proving it could be even stronger still. While Zaraki's Zanpakuto might not be one of the showiest around, it is without a doubt one of the most powerful seen in the series to date. Fans have waited a long time for this reveal, as Zaraki's natural power was bound to make his Zanpakuto releases impressive, and the scene certainly didn't disappoint. Gremmy was an extremely deadly opponent, and may well have killed any other Soul Reaper Captain he was up against, but Zaraki's raw power, even while wearing the eyepatch, was something that the Sternritter simply couldn't measure up to. It's not often a villain dies just from trying to power up to his opponent's level, but Zaraki has managed it. With the Shikai state revealed, the anticipation is only further building for the inevitable reveal of Zaraki's Bankai, which could be wielding an almost unimaginable level of power. Given everything that Zaraki had to do to obtain his sword's name, including killing Unohana, it's good to see that the power he obtained really is as incredible as everyone hoped it would be. There are still plenty of deadly opponents that Zaraki will have to go up against in Bleach , so hopefully one will put his true full power on display, for both enemy and ally to wonder at.
As a stunned Hitsugaya states that the two seemed made for each other as opponents, bleach zaraki kenpachi shikai, Zaraki and Gerard begin clashing, with the two of them complimenting each other's speed and reflexes. As Nemu tends to his wound, Zaraki wonders how he can attack Pernida without getting close before rushing forward and slashing partway through Pernida, only to have his legs warped.
A breakout character in the Soul Society Arc of Tite Kubo's Bleach , Kenpachi Zaraki is a character whose unhinged thirst for battle has yet to be matched by any character throughout the series' lengthy run. Zaraki is the quintessential berserker, a force of nature, whose lust for fighting is only eclipsed by his awe inducing strength. For the longest time, he was also an anomaly among the Captains of the Gotei 13, as he was the only one among them to have attained the rank without even knowing the name of his Zanpakuto. However, the Thousand Year Blood War Arc changed all of this, as Zaraki was forced to listen to his Zanpakuto's voice, as he sought more power to combat Yhwach and the Wandenreich, the most powerful foe the Gotei 13 had ever faced. This series of events led to him finally awakening both his Shikai and Bankai after defeating Retsu Unohana formerly known as Yachiru Unohana, the first Kenpachi , finally living up to the title of the 11th Division Captain.
Bleach's Thousand-Year Blood War has taken things up a notch for the Soul Society , seeing the Shinigami struggling with the massive power of a new villainous force known as the Wandenreich. The anime adaptation has seen Ichigo Kurosaki and many of his fellow Soul Reapers taking the opportunity to sharpen their skills and increase their power via training. Kenpachi was a different story however as the powerhouse has returned to the fight and shown off his new Shikai for the first time in the anime's history. Kenpachi has earned his place as one of the most powerful and ruthless members of the Soul Society more times than we can count at this point. In the first cours of the Thousand-Year Blood War, the eye-patch-wearing swordsman fought against his forebearer, Unohana, who had previously held the title of Kenpachi before the latest brawler to hold it. With Unohana attempting to awaken Kenpachi's link to his sword, the first Kenpachi died during their skirmish but accomplished her goal, as Zaraki began to "hear" his sword after their death match. In the latest episode of Bleach , we witness Kenpachi's Shikai unleashed as he fights against one of the strongest members of the Sternritter. When Kenpachi first entered the Blood War, he cut his way through three members of the Wandenreich. Unfortunately, the swordsman found himself hitting a wall thanks to Yhwach's power but worked on increasing his power. In fighting against the Sternritter known as Gremmy Thourneaux, Kenpachi reveals his Shikai as he battles against an opponent that could change reality with a thought.
