Bloodborne [b] is a action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. Bloodborne follows the player's character , a Hunter, through the decrepit Gothic , Victorian-era —inspired city of Yharnam , whose inhabitants are afflicted with a blood-borne disease which transforms the residents, called Yharnamites, into horrific beasts. Attempting to find the source of the plague, the player's character unravels the city's mysteries while fighting beasts and cosmic beings. Bloodborne is played from a third-person perspective. Players control a customizable protagonist, and the gameplay is focused on strategic weapons-based combat and exploration.

Bloodborne , a masterpiece by esteemed video game studio FromSoftware and created by Hidetaka Miyazaki, is one of those video games that will at first seem like has a very minimal story. On the surface, this game looks like its all about the gameplay and it simply leaves the story up to the players. One can't be blamed for thinking as such, especially if they're familiar with FromSoft's previous works. However, dig deep enough and players will find a treasure cove of brilliant narrative beats that tells a grand story about ambition, humanity, and its imminent failure. Bloodborne 's story is incredibly bizarre yet so fascinating, and going through them will surely be worth any lore digger's time. Scholars have also frequented this place to learn more about the ones who came before. Little did they know that the dungeons hold even more secrets than they've expected. A lot of signs indicate that before the spread of the scourge happened in Yharnam, it occurred first in Loran.

The hunters are a group of warriors who are dedicated to keeping their regions safe by hunting down beasts - or anything other than beasts if need be - that pose a threat. Hunters are agile fighters armed with a trick weapon, a transforming melee weapon in the right hand, and a firearm in the left. They do not employ shields, but rather take advantage of their mobility in order to avoid attacks.
