The fully fenced playground features everything from UFOs, swings, flying foxes, slides, and water play to all the essentials like toilets, BBQs, picnic shelters, shade and ample parking. The new Futuro features a small slide, fireman pole and is fully wheelchair accessible. The interactive activities are at varying heights to allow for inclusive play. A highlight for my boys was the double flying fox that features a pommel seat and an all-abilities harness seat. Another highlight of the playground is the elevated space station with a big tunnel slide.

This week Melville council announced it would be putting concept plans out for a new multigenerational play space for Bob Gordon reserve in Bull Creek. The Herald understands that during the consultation phase there was so much in-fighting between the Leeming burghers over the proposal that a community reference group was formed which ultimately decided it would be less messy to put it in Bull Creek. Melville mayor Russell Aubrey said after a number of meetings the reference group chose Bob Gordon reserve and suggested a number of potential uses. Meanwhile Melville has recently completed an upgrade to the Piney Lakes Sensory Play Park, which has been receiving rave reviews from mums, dads and kids. There is so much to love about this spaceship, but most of all I love the abilities design of this spaceship. Wiith an all abilities access ramp, room inside the spaceship and the varying levels of play featues within the spaceship so that anyone can get inside and take control of flying this spaceship. The playground also features a intergalatic themed climbing tower and slide, with rope climb, elevated space pod and big enclosed slide down. There is plenty of seating, picnic tables, BBQs and toilets located within the fenced playground area. You can also find some grassed area around the playground to set yourself up while you play. Bob Gordon Reserve is an off the lead dog park, so the playground is fully fenced and no dogs are allowed within the playground area. There are also BBQs, a picnic shelter, seating and an outdoor exercise gym outside the fenced play area. Bring the small bikes and scooters along too as there are several shared pathways that wind throughout the reserve outside of the fenced playground area. Bob Gordon Reserve Spaceship Play Space features lots of intergaltic fun for all ages and ablities and is also the perfect playground to host a space themed birthday party.
