Hi, So I need to change all four tyres for my car. And I'm just looking around for which tyres to get. I had a look at costco, which they have michelin tyres. I've used Korean tyres in the past and they've been fine, no problems with them.

They are two popular, trusted tyre brands for motorists all over Australia. But what will they cost you, and which offers the best value? These are questions we seek to answer by comparing Bob Jane and Goodyear tyres. A small patch, roughly the size of a handprint at each corner, is the only physical contact with which the car can grip the road, so it makes sense to ensure this critical point of failure is always operating at an optimum level. There are hundreds of tyre brands vying for your money, so with so much choice on the market, which is the right tyre for you? The team at Bob Jane T-Marts invited Drive to document their tyre testing process, which is designed to give you better insight into which option best suits your needs. This test is centred around all-terrain tyres , the sort you would see fitted to a dual-cab ute or four-wheel drive. All-terrain tyres are rarely fitted to cars as standard equipment and represent a good 'next step' option for those who want to further explore off-roading. Each tyre has its own strengths and weaknesses, and so the results are not meant to define an outright winner, but to inform the Bob Jane T-Marts team of how to best make recommendations for customer needs. Tests include braking performance in both wet and dry conditions, a slalom, lane-change activity, and a short off-road course. Additionally, all test tyres were fitted to a set of inch Monster Wheels to maintain uniformity. As for the tyres, eight different all-terrain options were tested along with one additional mud-terrain tyre, included to highlight the compromises in braking compared to the more road-friendly all-terrain tyres. The mud-terrain tyre was not included in the overall testing results.

Here are the rankings and results. What this tyre lacked in on-road capability, it made up for off-road.
