In Borderlands 2 , Invader is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source, but has an increased chance to drop from Saturn located in Arid Nexus - Badlands. The Executioner has arrived. Greatly reduced damage. Greatly increased magazine size and reload speed. While the Invader's special effect on its own is common seen on all Dahl weapons , it has the added benefit of also having Hyperion's reverse recoil gimmick. This makes the last shot of the burst the most accurate whereas other burst fire weapons become less accurate throughout the burst.

IIRC, it sucked in BL1, and seeing as how there's a billion burst fire snipers around now, I'm not sure why it's popular this time around. Does it burst fire 5 bullets at the cost of one? Or is it just the recoil reduction? Also, what's with the pitchfork? How does the "horizontal bullets" thing work? The description just makes me thing of something similar to Conference Call. Yeah the invader is basically the same, not very good imho. Then again, I like the Longbow sniper the best. Its just so badass.

Not sure if I should use it, I don't even like the burst firing thing.

Examples are on the talk page. The Invader is a burst fire Sniper Rifle that always comes with a 15 round magazine. This weapon can be compared to the Dahl Penetrator , as it features much higher fire rate and recoil reduction than most sniper rifles, but decreased damage per bullet. At anything but extreme ranges, all 5 shots will be grouped tightly enough for critical hits. As the Invader chooses quantity over quality each round usually does damage equal to half of that of a regular sniper bullet , it consumes ammo at an alarming rate.

I got one in Corrosive that I keep around for Playthrough 2. The Invader will always score at least one shot with pinpoint accuracy and can maintain the pinpoint accuracy when sniping multiple enemies in quick succession. The Invader's damage is rather poor for a sniper rifle, but the combined burst fire and reverse recoil effect helps to offset this with a high damage-per-second when focused on a critical target of an enemy. But instead of charging you for all four I think it's four projectiles per trigger pull, you're only using one bullet. Install Steam. How do I get to lynchwood?
