As always, the mochi is really stretchy and soft, retaining its chewy texture even when refrigerated overnight. The amount of fillings isnt super generous but the flavour makes up for it. This is my favourite item from Breadtalk, and probably the only thing I'll buy from there. The vanilla chiffon cake sandwiches a perfect egg and melted cheddar, making this sweet yet savoury. It's great as a snack, but you'll probably need two of this for a heartier meal. The white version is filled with Taiwanese yam chunks amongst the yam paste, while the purple version contains a wine-soaked longan and purple-coloured yam paste. Generally, I don't like the powdery top for both as they tasted 'extra' and masked the flavour of the yam, when the amount of yam isn't generous to start with.

I love Bread Talk, it is a great place to get some lunch and the selection is fantastic. Please bring Bread Talk to London; I can't see how it wouldn't be successful!! Over the years the range and quality of items seem to have dropped.
