Three months after the events at Blackgate , Catwoman conducted a cat burglary at a government building to steal data. It was during this time that she first encountered Batman , who attempted to stop her. Batman pursued her throughout Gotham until cornering her at the top of a construction site, while also fending off members of the DEO who were after both of them Catwoman for her theft and Batman due to the mistaken belief that he was an accomplice to her. She managed to transfer the data to an unknown contact implied to be Amanda Waller , and fought Batman, only to end up defeated.
