What a great meal, well cooked and served.

Whilst staying at the Kimpton De Witt Penthouse , I decided to explore the newly opened restaurant called Celia in the same building. Celia Amsterdam offers modern-American cuisine, a high-end eating experience of Californian cuisine with a Dutch flair. This restaurant prides itself on offering excellent laidback service with affordable food prices. After chatting to the friendly waiter we decided to go tapas style first with 5 smaller dishes. The waiter convinced me to take a leap of faith and try it.

What a great meal, well cooked and served. Quality of the food is very good. Our server was Debora, such a lovely girl, and gave great service with a smile. Will definitely return. Welcoming and easygoing staff in a fancy and romantic atmosphere! Highly recommended! Had a great evening. Food was well prepared, although the Brussels sprouts were overseasoned for our taste, and the octopus was slightly overcooked. They offered great wine recommendations and the barbecue chicken is a must! Had another dinner at Celia's, and was fantastic. The people working there are so friendly and very well trained. The food was really good, this time we had the chicken which was so moist and delicious.

The other dessert was the Rhubarb with fig leave ice cream. I opted for potatoes with Texel sheep cheese as a side dish.
