What are keys? I did try that but every file I downloaded did not work.

Decrypted ROMs do not need any additional configuration and should launch without any issue. Cemu is a fairly straight-forward emulator to set up, if you use decrypted ROMs. Do not install your games. No additional setup is required. Read the Configuration section to learn more about Cemu and its folder locations. If you use decrypted ROMs, you do not need the following questionnaire.

Cemu can't easily take the place of a home console in your living room, but it does a very good and arguably better job of playing Wii U games on PC. Even though emulators are commonly used to run pirated games, it's entirely legal to run games you've ripped from a real disc. To rip games, you'll need an actual Nintendo Wii U console you can homebrew. The homebrew process is a little complicated, but it's worth doing anyway as a homebrewed Wii U is handy in its own right as a retro gaming console.

This is the code repository of Cemu, a Wii U emulator that is able to run most Wii U games and homebrew in a playable state. For Linux you can also find Cemu on flathub. On Windows Cemu is currently only available in a portable format so no installation is required besides extracting it in a safe place. The native macOS build is currently purely experimental and should not be considered stable or ready for issue-free gameplay. We appreciate your patience while we improve Cemu for macOS. Issues with the emulator should be filed using GitHub Issues. The old bug tracker can be found at bugs. Pull requests are very welcome. For easier coordination you can visit the developer discussion channel on Discord or alternatively the Matrix Server. If coding isn't your thing, testing games and making detailed bug reports or updating the usually outdated compatibility wiki is also appreciated!

Learn more about clone URLs. Thanks, the problem is finding those keys although I would prefer unencrypted games which seems to be very hard to find. But otherwise unencrypted games is the way to go. This page is for the native build of Cemu. EmuDeck includes the native build of Cemu as an optional install.

Is your ROM decrypted? I did try that but every file I downloaded did not work. You can post now and register later. Now the only issue is lack of compatibility with the emulator.
