The player takes on the role of Starkiller, the secret Sith apprentice of Darth Vader, who is being trained as part of a plot to overthrow Emperor Palpatine. Starkiller is dispatched on secret missions throughout the galaxy to deal with Darth Vader's enemies and weaken Palpatine's position. However, it soon becomes apparent that a resistance movement is forming against the Empire, and Starkiller must choose whether to aid the fledgling Rebel Alliance or remain loyal to his master.
