FilmoXarxa has taken over the former county-wide structure of the Filmoteca, which is now integrated in this new initiative. In addition to the FilmoXarxa programme, the Filmoteca de Catalunya is also helping to disseminate our film heritage outside Barcelona through collaboration agreements with three cinemas in Catalan cities which programme in conjunction with the Filmoteca. FilmoXarxa has a threefold objective: to promote and disseminate Catalan and European cinema to increase the offering of films in the Catalan language on screens in Catalonia to promote a film culture among Catalan citizens.
