The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt allows three possible endings for Ciri: she can become a witcher and live her life with Geralt hunting down monsters; she can become Empress and rule over Nilfgaard; or she can lost her life to the White Frost. While the last ending is obviously the bad ending, it's hotly contested which of the first two is better. Empress is pretty bittersweet, but it is her birthright — and would she really enjoy the life of a witcher? There are reasons she'd be great at either though. Say what you like, but Ciri would be happiest as a witcher.
Ciri witcher or empress
The Witcher 3 has dozens of endings, but Ciri only has three possible outcomes, and one is much better than the others. If he made better choices, Ciri survives the battle and becomes the Empress of Nilfgaard. The best ending in The Witcher 3 sees Ciri surviving the final battle and venturing onto The Path on her own as a proper Witcher. This gives her the confidence to believe in herself and pursue the life of a Witcher, which she has dreamed of living since she was young. From a technical perspective, this ending is considered the best because it is relatively difficult to achieve, effectively making it a hidden ending. It can be argued that the Empress Ciri ending of The Witcher 3 is the best, as that life is much safer than that of a Witcher. While becoming a Witcher is more dangerous, it is the best outcome for Ciri since her life has prepared her for this role. Ciri endured a tumultuous journey across the Witcher novels that The Witcher 3 subtly touches on. However, one of the most influential parts of her story is shown at the beginning of the game, her Witcher training at Kaer Morhen.

Ciri witcher or empress
The "best" ending for Ciri has always been a subject for debate among fans of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. To be exact, there are three endings: the one where she dies, the one where she becomes a Witcher, and the one where she becomes Empress of Nilfgaard. Of course, the first is just a terrible outcome, and watching that final cutscene is absolutely heartbreaking.

Where is Zoltan? The truth is, the people would be lucky to have her as Empress but for the sake of her happiness, she's probably better off witchering. Yes, Emhyr and Philippa and hundreds of others will try to manipulate her or harm her. Which is how it should be, IMHO. However I love the way the witcher ending wraps everything together. Luckily, most of these are small variations of each other; there are, in fact, just three major endings. Plus, it has the awesomeness of Emrhys being assassinated. Some unexpected advice from Gaunter O'Dimm can help you navigate the murky waters of parenting Ciri if you complete the Hearts of Stone DLC before trekking too far down the main quest line, but you'll have to make a tough call before reaching that sub-conclusion as well. I'm glad you enjoyed it, though.
