Vizsla was formed in 37 ABY with a goal of earning money, fame, and glory. The clan is allegiant to credits and by proxy the Iron Throne especially when they pay. While not Mandalorian in and of itself, it operates much the same way with actions earning respect. Members are Mercenaries, Bounty Hunters, Smugglers, and just about any other profession that can turn a profit. The basis of the clan was defined in the formal proposal that was accepted by the Grand Master, Telaris "Mav" Cantor , in consultation with the Dark Council , Consuls , and the Star Chamber.

Clan Vizsla was a Mandalorian clan that was active during the time of the Galactic Republic , and the Galactic Empire. During the Clone Wars , his descendant Pre Vizsla was the leader of Death Watch , a Mandalorian splinter faction that opposed the planet 's pacifist government. He succeeded in taking over Mandalore and became Mand'alor and Prime Minister , but was killed shortly thereafter by the renegade Sith Lord Maul.
