We learned the names of some of the QVC and HSN employees who were swept out in the layoff massacre on Tuesday, and they are some very familiar faces. Gracie was at QVC for nearly two decades. Hughes was at QVC for 33 years. Smith was at HSN for nearly 30 years. Fox was there for nine years.

Shannon Smith is an American Journalist who is also a television personality she was born and brought up in Herman, Minnesota. For starters, she did Entertainment Journalism when she began her career as a Journalist. Shannon Smith is 56 years of age as of the year She never shared her exact date of birth. Shannon got married to her husband Clay Hughes who was the General Counsel for Industrial Scientific research and these two happy couples wed each other in Her husband was the officer responsible for leading the legal team and all the compliance activities within the company. Nice, right? This studio was a lot of work and dedication! Shannon recently married Clay Hughes, and together they set out to build Shannon a dream studio. I would say they succeeded! We were originally going to white wash the ship lap a creamy white, but went to Palmetto Bluff for our family show in April and saw it in the town center and loved it! Ahhh, the fun part… time to unpack!
My oils are known for color, painterly brushwork, and capturing light in simple everyday scenes. While subject matter varies from landscape, still life, interiors, to figures it is my use of light that becomes the common thread in my work. I draw constant inspiration from the various subtle ways light interacts with the subject…whether it be sunlight filtering through trees at the end of a road, light reflecting off copper and silver in a still life, or interior low light revealing an intimate bar or restaurant scene. I use a direct or alla prima approach, and I paint what excites me. My goal is to express what I experience, translating my emotions through paint and brushwork, so that the viewer may feel a similar emotional reaction. Shannon Smith Hughes has been an artist living and painting in the Charleston, SC area for the past 19 years. She is part owner of their family gallery, Anglin Smith Fine Art. She is a signature member of Plein Air Painters of the Southeast, and often travels to plein air paint and exhibit with this accomplished group of artists.
