However, he does seem to be smart intellectually, as he teaches the Herbs and Healing class at JMA, and his great personality is rather overshadowed by Tsunami and Glory's fiery, girl-power ones in the following books. Overall, Clay is a good character, though rather underrated and rarely talked about.
