I think Clayton is good for investors to build new townhouses and rent out, not for families. I often walk alone at night time around the area. Monash Hospital is a 5 minute walk from the station, and all adjoining medical facilities you could need IVF, Radiology Clinics, Dentistry, physiotherapy etc are basically right next to the hospital. There is a great Aquatic and Fitness club adjoined to a local library and theatre in central Clayton, I find the prices cheap for the centre, and the staff friendly at all venues. The library has a medium range, but the staff are happy to get books delivered from other libraries.
