What do you mean, "that's my only line"?! First up are Odd and Ulrich. Odd: [sleepily with one eye open] Huh? What did you say about carpet tacking? Odd: Hey, do you always sleep with those things in your ears? Ulrich: Yeah, Odd. And one of these days I'm gonna tell you why. Sissi: Hey what are you two dorks up to anyway? Ulrich: None of your business. Sissi: [suspicious] Oh, with that kind of answer, now I'm sure you're up to no good. Odd: Careful you, Sissi. Sissi: Huh?

Ishiyama Takeho and Akiko Ishiyama. Yumi's parents. Big Eater : Takeho is seen twice in Season One wolfing down bowls of noodles in one go. Good Parents : They worry about their children, but at some points, this becomes a hindrance to the group due to said concern. Obliquely Obfuscated Occupation : It's never made clear what exactly Takeho's job is. One Head Taller : Akiko is noticeably taller than her husband, and it seems that Yumi took after her in that regard. Parents as People : Embody this the most out of the parents of the Lyoko Warriors. Being foreigners from another country seems to have put legitimate stress on them at times, with them needing to spend time apart during a Season 1 episode, and Takeo's job-status being critical during a later Season 2 episode. They're also the most observant of Yumi's suspicious behavior owing to her not being a boarder, but considering that their daughter is fighting, as Odd puts it, a demonic Artificial Intelligence , they're quite right to be worried.

This look-alikeness is actually lampshaded although Ulrich can't recall the original film's name before being told by the director of the In-Universe film that is using the factory as a film set to shut up because it is a totally original alien design, honest! He dresses in flashy, clashing colors, mostly purple and yellow. Over time, Aelita discovers an enjoyment of music, becomes skilled at mixing tunes, and stands her ground on pursuing this hobby. Fanservice : Completely intentional on his part. Get Known if you don't have an account. Superpowered Evil Side : An unusual case, since she's only around if XANA can actually take control of Aelita, but XANA makes much more effective use of Aelita's abilities than she does, spamming Creativity and Energy Fields much more than Aelita's regular usage, proving how unstoppable she would be if she went all out with her powers. Talking to the Dead : She gets into the habit of talking to her departed father while on Lyoko. Older Than They Look : Aelita is chronologically , but ten of those years were spent asleep in Lyoko and another full year in avatar form , so she looks, acts, and biologically is Three-Point Landing : She often lands in this pose following some of her acrobatics, including sometimes when just virtualized.

The main point of the episode "Image Problem" revolves around Yumi behaving incredibly strangely. Acrofatic : Is a bit on the pudgy side, but if the situation calls for it, he can really move. Unseen Evil : Besides the Faceless Eye , he never uses any kind of Lyoko form, and the closest thing to a physical form that he has in the real world is as a massive billowing cloud of slimy, black smoke. To the Batpole! Light Is Not Good : Granted, since XANA never got ahold of her the way he did with William, he never had the chance to give her an Evil Makeover , but considering Aelita's usual colors are pink and white, she counts as this. Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass : Most of the time, he is portrayed as goofy, clumsy, and a bit stupid, to the point that even the students don't take him seriously. Super-Strength : Barely anything can really stop them. Ulrich: Give me a break! XANA sends out the big guns: the Kolossus. Promotion to Opening Titles : William in Season 4. He's angry at Ulrich for utilizing a Return to the Past to help Yumi's family specifically, to get them the winning lotto ticket when her father loses his job and may move the family back to Japan because it made XANA stronger for selfish reasons.
