On a recent outing to this establishment, this reviewer, a 12 year regular at this establishment, was seated at the bar, and was forced to wait for 45 minutes for any contact from the staff on duty. He could not get another drink or even tab out and leave. The staff was playfully engaged in social and drinking activities on the opposite side of the room to the exclusion of all customers in attendance. Finally, a nice bar-back noticed the situation with the customers, took the initiative, and served another round to those who were waiting. This was not the first time this had happened here, but this time it was the last straw. Please read on After finally getting her attention, this reviewer attempted to lodge an honest complaint about this unfortunate situation to one of the senior staff members most seniority.

I hope nothing changes to the place and I even take my 83 year old mom and she always enjoys herself. The food was excellent and very good prices. I especially loved the seasoned fries. I would recommend it to anyone who live on E 33rd St They have friendly good fast service and I like the hot food they serve. They have the "old school" touch By far the best I have found in the entire area. This place is like eating at Grandmaw's house.

Thank you soich for all that you do! September Fried fish filets and my ceaser salad were amazing! However, my fried okra was in need of a longer cook time. I ordered an Old Fashion, but something didn't taste right. But he failed to mention that or ask me if I wanted something else and just brought me out a glass of bourbon.
