The event held its national launch recently and were delighted to welcome Avril and William R Gubbins back to Offaly, where they have enjoyed many successes in the livestock categories over many years. The Limerick family's herd consists of commercial and pedigree Stock under the name of Cush Herd. Enjoying many success stories at Tullamore Show, the Gubbins family won Supreme Champion in on their first visit to the event, and again in and The national launch in Butterfield Estate was also attended by representatives of FBD, who have enjoyed a successful alliance with the event over many years. We look forward to seeing you all in Tullamore in August.

Cudal show 2023

All cattle, sheep and goats exhibited at shows must be recorded in the NLIS database. This ensures exhibitors and shows comply with the Stock Diseases Regulation and that animals which have been to a show or sporting event are traceable. Shows are a biosecurity risk because animals from different properties come together and then disperse again. The new Biosecurity NLIS Regulation will come into effect by June and will require that show organisers record livestock attendance at shows. This is an increase in responsibility for show committees. All competitors must hand in a signed waiver form upon entry to the show. Please see individual sections for your requirements. The showground plays an important role in the life of both local and regional communities as it hosts a diverse range of activities and events, including Pony Club, Campdrafts, the Festival of the Fleeces, and the Annual Merriwa Show. Merriwa Caravan Park welcomes travellers, located directly across the road from the Merriwa showgrounds. The park is located on the bank of the Merriwa River and is walking distance to the shops including an IGA supermarket.
