Da unser Hostel ein wenig außerhalb lag nahmen wir den Bus. Auf dem Weg zum Bus und auch in der Stadt waren wir doch sehr überrascht vom Müll auf den Straßen und dem Geruch der uns in der Nase lag, da wir es bisher anders von Cuenca gewohnt waren. Auch die Restaurantsituation ließ sich eher als Mau betiteln. Nachdem wir dennoch etwas finden konnten, gingen wir im Anschluss in einen großen Supermarkt, der sehr gut ausgestattet war. Da unsere Abendplanung durch den Ort beschränkt war, fügten wir unserem Einkaufswagen zudem eine Flache Rum bei. Diese sollte nicht lange halten, da sie noch am gleichen Abend von uns gemischt mit Cola und Limettensaft getrunken wurde. Auf dem Rückweg zu unserem Bungalow besuchten wir ein weiteres Mal die "Strandpromenade" an der man ebenso viele Steine und Muscheln, wie Müll sammeln konnte. Einen Vorteil den freiliegender Müll mit sich bringt sind Straßenhunde von denen es hier überdurchschnittlich viele gab und sehr guter, aber leider auch sehr schlechter Verfassung. So dass Felix an dem Abend noch einem Hund am Strand, der schwer geschädigt von einer Brandwunde, ein paar Gnaden Cornflakes gab der ziemlich wahrscheinlich in den nächsten Stunden verstorben ist. Deshalb versuchten wir den übrigen Straßenhunde mit ein paar Leckereien eine Freude zu machen.
