IT Services creates a D2L course site for every class section. Instructors may wish to combine multiple D2L course sites into one. A merged course site — known as a D2L Course Combine — can simplify course management. Or a combined course site helps facilitate student discussion across class sections. When a D2L Course Combine occurs, all instructors and students enrolled in the multiple course sites move to one parent course site within D2L.

What's D2L? D2L Desire2Learn — also known as Brightspace — is a web-based tool to support online education. Each course at Marquette has its own D2L course site. Students use D2L for interactive communication, secure submission of assignments to instructors, and online quizzes. Please enable Javascript to access the portal. It's the online equivalent of a physical classroom. You will also find recommendations and tips on building learning experiences for students and how to manage, deliver, and facilitate course content. Respondus is a tool available in D2L quizzes for in-person and online proctoring. It locks down the testing environment so students cannot navigate away to search and connect to external resources. You can choose to record students taking the test with the Monitor feature. Students and faculty needing technical support can submit a ticket to Respondus. The OneNote Class Notebook provides a collaborative space for interactive lessons.
