There's a lot of room for Dragon Ball Super to further develop Jiren, either as an ally or an enemy, but he's unfortunately yet to make a proper return following the tournament. One of the most satisfying developments to come out of Dragon Ball Super 's multiverse is that there's a whole realm where Saiyans are actually alive and thriving rather than an endangered species with no home planet. Kale, Caulifla, and Cabba first appear in the Tournament of Destroyers but are valuable fighters in Zeno's multiversal free-for-all.

He was the first one to be absorbed by Cell, he never got a chance to be rescued from Cell like 18 did, and after being revived he only made one cameo appearance in the Majin Buu saga.
