Forgot your password? I would like a sandbox option for zombies to have a chance to inflict deep wounds and fractures on players, preferably with adjustable chance. If that's fun for you just go max speed with a car into a tree regenerate and once you break all bones rinse and repeat there's even a chance for a deep wound! That's the point, though - fractures are impossible to get unless you drive mph into a wall or jump off a tall building, one way to make them more common would be to have zombies inflict them. I am looking for a good replacement for zombie infection, something that punishes you for getting attacked and isn't a dice roll to guaranteed death, but rather a challenging hurdle you have to use your wits to overcome.

Getting injured in Project Zomboid can seriously inconvenience or even kill your character, so you'll need to fix it ASAP. Deep Wounds do require some specialized treatment, but can be remedied with some searching the map. To fix a Deep Wound in Project Zomboid, you will need to have a suture needle or a needle and thread. If you have with, fix the Deep Wound by going into the health tab and right-clicking on their wound. This will reveal the option to stitch up the Deep Wound. It's worth noting that it's better to have a suture needle above a needle and thread. Suture needles cause less pain than needles and threads and have a higher successful wound treatment rate. This success rate goes up even more if you has a suture needle holder in their inventory. It will take about one month in-game to fully heal, though some have quoted more or less around this time. It's unclear if a Deep Wound will heal without bandaging or disinfection, but it will likely continue to damage your health. Related: How to lose weight in Project Zomboid. In order to locate a suture needle or the holder, you will need to find and loot Medicine Cabinets. Inside these cabinets, you have the chance find the suture needle or a needle and thread.

I actually like the idea of risking some other unexpected wounds like a tiny chance to inflict a laceration while crafting something with low skill or even break a bone when disassembling something and "fail" or a bleeding cut to the hand when using a knife. On top of that I think bites should be kinda treated as deep wounds and require stitching to properly heal. Want more zombie survival tips? What clamp?
