Dennis D. Dmitriy Siver, born January 13, is a retired Russian-born German mixed martial artist who competed in the welterweight, lightweight, and featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Siver began training in Sambo and Judo when he was 15 years old and, at 17, moved to Germany where he continued his training with Taekwondo and Kickboxing. That same year, he became the W. O Amateur Kickboxing Champion of Germany.

Since his teenage years, the Russia native has spent time forging his skills and challenging himself in various martial arts disciplines. Nevertheless, a life committed to setting your will against that of another at the highest levels of competition is one where setbacks and adversity are simply part of the terrain, and the year-old featherweight has experienced his fair share of ups and downs along his journey. Yet, during his time spent in two of the most talent-stacked divisions under the UFC banner, the Mannheim, Germany-based fighter has come to find something deeper in the quest for redemption. From a stylistic standpoint, the matchup between Siver and Kawajiri will be, at the very least, an exciting scrap, but there are additional elements that will fan the flames of battle on fight night. Both Siver and Kawajiri are coming off losses in their most recent showings, and the quest to remain in the thick of an increasingly competitive featherweight division will come front and center in Berlin. Over the past two years, the pound collective has become a deep well of elite-level talent, and the current landscape is one where losses are of the high stakes variety. He was my idol back in the day, and being able to fight him now is both an honor and a dream come true. The more people you know are sitting in the stands and watching at home, the bigger the pressure.
