There's one thing that every Destiny 2 player dreads seeing in the Crucible: a red light looking directly at them from across the map. With enough skill, a good Sniper Rifle user can swing a Crucible match in their team's favor. Limited ammo does hurt Sniper Rifles when compared to other categories, yet no other Special in Destiny 2 can one-shot players from such great distances. If you're looking to become a sniping powerhouse, these ten weapons will make that journey a little easier. We've updated this list to include the new perk combinations that can roll on Eye of Sol, and we've updated a few entries with better perk combinations. We've ranked these Sniper Rifles based on ease of use, perk combinations, and any unique properties the weapon has—origin traits, Exotic perks, etc. Sniper Rifles with high handling, aim assist, and range are what we're looking for. There are two schools of thought when it comes to rate of fire on a sniper rifle in Crucible: A The higher the rate of fire, the more likely you'll hit a headshot right after a miss. B The lower the rate of fire, the more damage you'll do, more likely killing an injured enemy on a body shot. These are both perfectly fine ways of thinking, just for different scenarios.
