Hi there, I fitted a new LED ceiling light with a metal housing, it's double insulated so not earthed, in accordance with the instructions. The bulbs are multiple and an integral part of the lamp, so there's no option to change those individually. Would I get that horrible buzzing noise, would the LED dim as expected or is the idea a no-no? I'm guessing that if it was dimmable, the manual would specify that it was.

When I turn it on, it turns on fully but does not dim. I put the old switch back on a none LED dimmer it works but the bulb doesn't dim without flickering hence buying the LED dimmer.
