This might be another way for users to fix this issue but imo this should be fixed by valve so they make it so once the Deck is in docked mode that it would disable the built in controller and then use usb or bluetooth devices instead. And game devs can fix this too.

I initially liked Steam Input, but now I detest it. If I could have found a way to force steam to keep each usb board assigned to the same 'virtual controller', everything would be great, but for some reason, steam changes which board is assigned to which virtual controller when starting the game, disable steam input.
