Elliot may seem like an inarticulate man, but when it comes to books, his eloquence will be revealed. Elliot is a reserved loner who generally prefers the company of books to that of people. Even though he is the Union's library director, he usually wanders the halls silently by himself, undisturbed by visitors. Necessary interactions are kept to an absolute minimum and he often leaves before others even notice his involvement in the conversation. However, he greatly enjoys sharing his knowledge with curious visitors and answering people's questions about books. His cautious and timid behavior as well as his solitary disposition can be traced back to severe bullying during his childhood and teenage years, as well as being abandoned by his parents. He only found comfort in the books he used to escape from the real world for a couple of hours at a time. After successfully and strategically defending the Union's library against a Shadow Decree attack, however, he gained more courage in his own abilities and his disposition changed. While he is still rather reclusive, Elliot doesn't hide himself from the world out of fear anymore. Elliot is a man in his early thirties with shoulder-length white hair and bright yellow eyes. Apart from his hair and eyes, the Esper transformation does not seem to have changed his appearance very much, as he looks human in most other aspects. He is a powerful dispeller who can clear all buffs from an enemy, extend their ability cooldowns, and Taunt enemies into attacking him in order to protect his allies. Elliot is slightly different from your usual Controller Espers in that he also possesses some Defender type capabilities. In particular, he is able to Taunt the enemy in order to soak up the damage his ally Espers would have otherwise taken. Additionally, he can increase the cooldowns of an enemy which can be particularly effective against enemies you know are about to unleash powerful abilities. However, he is somewhat niche in terms of his kit and therefore not the best pick for a lot of the structured content such as the Ritual Miracle or Desolate Lands. In battle, an Esper will utilize their abilities in order to deal damage to the enemy and support their team. All Dislyte Esper Abilities start at Level 1 and can be increased further depending on the ability. Each additional level will improve the ability in a certain way.
