On the plus side this meant it was very fast paced with no room for filler. It is very subtle and is presented in a rather impressive way by Stan lee. The Stan Lee writing isn't without its charms in a Silver Age kind of way but has definitely not stood the test of time and I'd grade the collection much harder if I took that under consideration. Things really take off with Issue , located just past the halfway mark of this volume, and marking the start of a sprawling narrative that spans the next eleven episodes. But what magic they created together! These stories see the hero beaten and downtrodden, weak and on the run.
